Munna Michael vs Dunkirk box office collection: Tiger Shroff's film witnesses a dip
Tiger Shroff and Sabbir Khan's first two collaborations - Heropanti and Baaghi - were huge hits at the box office. However, their third Bollywood outing, Munna Michael, does not seem to be heading the same way. The film collected Rs 6.65 crore on its opening day at the box office, even lower than Tiger's last release, A Flying Jatt, which made Rs 7.10 crore on the first day.
Munna Michael witnessed a drop in its collection on Saturday, raking in Rs 6.15 crore. Meanwhile, this week's Hollywood release, Dunkirk was off to a slower start than Tiger's film, but has witnessed a boost on its second day. According to reports, Dunkirk made around Rs 3 crore on its opening day, and picked up to Rs 4 crore on Saturday.
Munna Michael has been largely panned by critics, while Christopher Nolan's war drama is being hailed as the best film of the year so far. Word of mouth seems to be having a strong effect on the collections of both films. It remains to be seen if Dunkirk gets a further boost in the coming days and surpasses the collection of Munna Michael.
